OMG! I finished it! I totally meant to do that Friday!
I've never finished a story on wattpad before! I've finished a screenplay, but never a story - I've always ended up deleting them... because nobody read them. I've yet to complete an original idea, but I've got a few. Maybe some more Dramione first...
Anyway, Draco and Hermione had pretty much the same feelings in the epilogue. In case I missed any answers to questions in the reading, feel free to ask me in the comments, and I'll respond AND put it in the story. Minerva and David's full names - if you don't remember - are Minerva Narcissa and David Lucius. I went through a lot of different names to get them perfect. I think I finally did. Yay!
And, extra info:
Draco is the head of New and Approved Spells Department in the Ministry, which means he invents spells and tests ones to approve them or ban them, and he has great fun with it. Hermione discovered all the properties of mirrors, and took S.P.E.W. to its finest - she became head of the Department of Rights and Welfare of Non-Wizarding Magical Creatures. Harry and Ron are Aurors, and Ginny is a famous seeker for the Chudley Canons. They've not lost a World Cup since they put her on the team. Cool, right? And Hannah's a stay-at-home Mom, which is strenuous but benefits her personal need for relaxation. Neville and Luna got married and decided against kids, because they're always traveling - they've formed a husband-wife research and discovery team. He discovers plants, she discovers animals. She has yet to find a Crumple-Horned Snorkack.
Cool?
Cool.
Thanks!

Ah, finally, we're getting close to the climax! The next chapter is the climax, I promise. Exhilarating, it is. And LONG, I can promise you that.
During this time period, Draco was mentally freaking out. He'd sent his mother a letter explaining how he loved Hermione with the truth in it the day after they started going out (February 15th) and hadn't gotten a reply yet; maybe because she was traveling? We'll see. Anyway, he also really wanted to go into the forest with her, if she had to, and when he couldn't he was devastated and freaked out even worse. David was struck by sudden inspiration - the light hadn't hit her face at all, but in case she died, he didn't want to have nothing left of her. So he painted her the day before the task and, if she lived, he was going to give it to her afterward. That's all explained later, but I feel badly by keeping the secret. The biggest secrets, however, are yet to come. Keep reading!

OH. MY. GOD.
It's happened! I's happened! You all finally understand the necklace, you understand they love each other! You must be so happy right now!
It's happened! I's happened! You all finally understand the necklace, you understand they love each other! You must be so happy right now!
Hermione's Feelings
- While Draco was watching her, Hermione was looking for/through any records of enchanted stars, or enchanted necklaces - she never thought to look for just enchantments, and certainly never for love ones!
- When Draco came over, all mad-looking, she had felt a pang of her own heart when she saw the fear, anxiety and still hope in his eyes.
- Hermione and Draco both are scared to say they love the other - while the word 'love' was used plenty in Draco's explanation, they don't say 'I love you' at all in the chapter for a reason - they aren't ready. I mean, really, Draco has good reason to be afraid to love (look what happened to the last girl) and Hermione really isn't very self-confident when it comes to these things.
Hey, people - yeah, you - I made:

"It was short, and it was sweet. His lips on hers, both sets moving in synchronization, gave him a natural high, a feeling of floating above the earth with her and just looking down, seeing the world as a whole instead of as just the one part that had been so wrong for so long. He saw the green and brown continents, the blue oceans and the white clouds spread over the entire globe, and for a moment, it seemed there were no flaws with the planet before him. In that moment, with her, the world was perfect, and there was nothing wrong."
That was, without a doubt, the longest chapter I've done yet. Proud of myself!
Harry's Proposal
- Originally, I had Harry wait another two chapters for the proposal, but found it impossible not to just do it; it was so perfect right then!
- At first, I had Harry's speech fully written out, and perfected, and I loved it - and then changed it so he said he forgot it when looking in her eyes, because that is undoubtedly the sweetest thing he could've said right then.
- Ron looks expectant because Harry asked his permission first - he also asked Arthur, Percy, Bill, Charlie, and George, just to make sure, by letter. I'm going to say that again later in the story, but it's just a nice fact.
Skating
- At first, Hermione and Draco were supposed to kiss. Yeesh, I say that a lot.
- They had originally built a snowman and were making snow angels when they held each other like that.
- The secret to Hermione's star is: It beats with Draco's heart - he enchanted it, through very advanced magic, to keep thrumming until they both lost their love for each other.
After getting to the part where he says they're basically people too, I had a kiss for them. That's right, a kiss. I have kisses for a lot of chapters that never get put in - sad. But then, it might possibly ruin the plot if I have them kiss too soon... then again, they ARE going on a date (with confused statuses, not to mention). The kiss went like this:
Hermione flew at him, and her star was squished between her abdomen and Draco's as she kissed him with force. She felt her own heart barely able to flutter at the amount of electricity streaking through every vein in her body - it was overwhelming. His touch, his feel, the way his body moulded perfectly into hers was stimulating. Her star throbbed with something else - she could feel his heartbeat, perfectly in time with the necklace's magic gem, pulsing against her breast. She understood;she got a piece of his heart. He'd given her a literal piece of his heart. She was honoured and flustered at the same time, and her mouth was penetrated by his tongue. His skin was uncommonly cool beneath her as they tumbled into the wall, and her leg hitched itself around his waist.
Cool, right? Ignore the blacked-out section, it'll be explained later. And I think I'll start using subtitles for the individual info for each chapter. It'll be better that way - easier to understand when new info comes along, and isn't just a continuation of the previous info.
Again, thank you to everybody who reads my story! You fill my heart with joy and it makes me soar above metaphorical clouds. Cheesy, but true. Thanks and keep up here! I try and upload every day, so don't stop checking!

This last chapter was posted maybe close to one in the morning because half-way through writing it, I broke down crying, it made me so sad. Sorry if it's poorly written, but I tend to have trouble with REALLY sad things. I then made myself feel better by looking up cute cat memes. I was so busy with that, I forgot about the half-done chapter, and THEN it took me maybe another two hours. Sorry for the delay, I'll try for two chapters tomorrow (or really, later today) and make up for it.
As to where Draco got the star, which I'm sure you're wondering - SORRY! You'll have to tough it out, like the rest. But keep grovelling, it's entertaining.
I know the CD player won't work at Hogwarts, but Mrs./Mr. Granger forgot, and Arthur was magically tampering with it to try and get it to work. He failed and was angry. Let's focus on that later, or not at all.
We're getting close to the climax! Oh, it's several chapters away, don't worry, I won't ease your suffering any yet!

Alright, so for chapter 36, I was really ticked off at wattpad for changing EVERYTHING at the EXACT moment I was trying to publish it, and then when I went on facebook some virus screamed and the whole computer - and chapter - died. Needless to say, I was angry. Hours later, after a rather touching episode of the Big Bang Theory, I re-made it, and omitted a few things while adding others. For example, the song they sang is the same, Ginny saying 'Damn, you guys can sing' is the same, and the whole West Side Story argument is basically the same. However, I have some promised extra info.
Hermione, the whole time while singing, had her heart rate accelerating to maybe four thousand miles an hour, and it only calmed when he looked in her eyes. (So romantic!) And when he looked at her and his heart stuttered, her heart stuttered when his did - also, she had felt the fleeting sensation over the heart that he had after they sang.
Draco's mother actually never took him to the play - he went to see it himself! And yes, that DOES mean he went to see something 'Muggled over' as he liked to say back then, but against his will he liked it, when he'd gone to mock the Muggles for their inferior ways. He did actually read Romeo and Juliet afterward, and lied about getting a summary from his mother. And West Side Story is real, and I've seen the film and adored it, I'm that kind of person. I found it astonishing I could actually sing the songs. I've held a higher regard for my Music Theory teacher ever since.
Originally in the chapter, I had Ginny spot something out the window again, and call over to Harry, and they discussed it, standing in front of the window so Draco couldn't see. And THEN Ginny AND Harry said they needed to talk to him. I'm saving the window-spotting for next chapter, and only Ginny will talk to Draco - you'll never actually hear their conversation! Aren't I wicked? You'll figure out everything later, though, I absolutely PROMISE.
I had Draco's letter to his mother all written out for this chapter, but you'll read it later on. (*insert maniacal and cliff-hanger laugh here*)
Thanks for sticking with me and I can't tell you how my own heart stutters looking at the statistics for this site and AASL. You've all given me such encouragement, and I hope you continue to read. Don't get too feisty, there's a way to go yet. Thanks so much!

So in this last chapter, chapter 35 I believe, I originally had them kiss, but decided to omit that part. I found a fan-fiction called 'A Man Can Change' that is strikingly similar to my story, and I intended for them to get together, but I really didn't want to copy, so I changed it. The kiss went like this, for those of you wondering:
His upper half was healed, or at least moderately, and he had no problems wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer to him. She lay on top of him easily, their weight pressed together as if they were merging, their lips moving with a blaze across each other. Their veins were set alight with flames so intense no water could douse; it was as if the liquid coarsing through their bodies was Fiendfyre. His fingers massaged little circles into her waist, the lower portion of her back, and his cold fingers were relief on her flushed skin. She brought her hand up to caress his cheek, and her warmth on his coolness was relief to him from a never-ending snowstorm. Their temperatures, their mouths and their minds joined together, and Hermione was dead certain that everything she was feeling, he was feeling, too. His tongue traced the upper portion of her lower lip, and hers the reciprocal, and they eventually met to do battle. Hermione's limbs were turning to jelly, her mouth was dancing with flavors never experienced before, his scent distracted her as the aroma filled her nose and his eyes meeting hers were as if the chocolate in her eyes and the steel in his were combined into a ball; sweet and strong at the same time, a symphony of perfection.
Isn't that such a cute kiss? Naw, cute's not the word... more like HOT!!!
So, you guys should totally check out 'A Man Can Change'. It's beautifully written, but, I advise the um... *cough cough "adult" cough*... readers only, IF you catch my drift :)

Is it just me, or is 'Helvetica' a really cool name for a font? I'd like it a lot of wattpad would use it. Not that I like the font, just the name... maybe they could make a new font and name is 'Akrima' or something. That sound pretty cool, too. I'd use Akrima.
Fonts aside, hello blog followers! I've noticed one of my stories is getting somewhat noticed, and I've thoroughly enjoyed refreshing the page OVER and OVER and seeing the number go up by one every time. I'd not be able to do that without you, so: THANKS!
This blog is basically just going to tell you a bunch of updates and random thoughts into the chapters that were put. Who I considered killing off, what the other person was thinking, what I had them originally do in the chapter, blah, blah, blah. also, I like blogging. I find it amusing, and for those of you who think things like 'Oh, she's only making a blog because she thinks she's hot stuff'. Well, no, I don't. Owlsarelovely is hot stuff (and I've read her stories and WORSHIP her as a writer. VERY, VERRRRY fantastic writing, she does). I just like to write words and pretend people care about them. So, I made the blog. You don't want to follow, don't follow. Simple as that.
Well, I've started this rather late in the story, and some chapters really need no further explanation or input, so I'm gonna start from here, chapter... what, thirty-four? I think it's thirty-four. Yeesh, you can probably tell I don't like short romances terribly much. :PAnd so, if you wish (and I can't imagine anyone would, this is purely for my own enjoyment), you make keep up with this blog. Thanks for reading the story and I give you all my eternal thanks for giving me support and encouragement as a writer - otherwise, I probably would have stopped. And the below video is basically me saying the same thing.
