Alright, so for chapter 36, I was really ticked off at wattpad for changing EVERYTHING at the EXACT moment I was trying to publish it, and then when I went on facebook some virus screamed and the whole computer - and chapter - died. Needless to say, I was angry. Hours later, after a rather touching episode of the Big Bang Theory, I re-made it, and omitted a few things while adding others. For example, the song they sang is the same, Ginny saying 'Damn, you guys can sing' is the same, and the whole West Side Story argument is basically the same. However, I have some promised extra info.
Hermione, the whole time while singing, had her heart rate accelerating to maybe four thousand miles an hour, and it only calmed when he looked in her eyes. (So romantic!) And when he looked at her and his heart stuttered, her heart stuttered when his did - also, she had felt the fleeting sensation over the heart that he had after they sang.
Draco's mother actually never took him to the play - he went to see it himself! And yes, that DOES mean he went to see something 'Muggled over' as he liked to say back then, but against his will he liked it, when he'd gone to mock the Muggles for their inferior ways. He did actually read Romeo and Juliet afterward, and lied about getting a summary from his mother. And West Side Story is real, and I've seen the film and adored it, I'm that kind of person. I found it astonishing I could actually sing the songs. I've held a higher regard for my Music Theory teacher ever since.
Originally in the chapter, I had Ginny spot something out the window again, and call over to Harry, and they discussed it, standing in front of the window so Draco couldn't see. And THEN Ginny AND Harry said they needed to talk to him. I'm saving the window-spotting for next chapter, and only Ginny will talk to Draco - you'll never actually hear their conversation! Aren't I wicked? You'll figure out everything later, though, I absolutely PROMISE.
I had Draco's letter to his mother all written out for this chapter, but you'll read it later on. (*insert maniacal and cliff-hanger laugh here*)
Thanks for sticking with me and I can't tell you how my own heart stutters looking at the statistics for this site and AASL. You've all given me such encouragement, and I hope you continue to read. Don't get too feisty, there's a way to go yet. Thanks so much!
